About the Dos Amigos
A famous early 19th Century Baltimore clipper, Dos Amigos was primarily known for being a slaver ship. She was a low-slung, double-masted ship, and was extremely agile. The hull was modified, to allow space below decks to transport slaves.
In 1830, Dos Amigos made her final voyage as a slaver ship – she was captured by the HMS Black Joke and ultimately became an interception ship.
