The RMS Queen Mary 2
The RMS Queen Mary 2 is a British transatlantic liner and has been the flagship of Cunard Line since she succeeded the Queen Elizabeth 2 in 2004. In 2017, Queen Mary 2 was the only non-cruise liner still in service. With the retirement of the Queen Elizabeth 2 in 2008, the Queen Mary 2 is the only transatlantic liner in regular service between Southampton, England and New York, USA. She was designed by a team of British naval architects in France by Chantiers de l’Atlantique. The Queen Mary 2’s facilities include fifteen restaurants and bars, five swimming pools, a casino, a ballroom, a theatre and the first planetarium at sea.
