Griffon Hovercraft 8100TD
Description
This ready for display model of the 8100TD Hovercraft from Griffon Hoverwork is recreated at 1:15 scale to be reminiscent of the actual craft. The model is intended for static display and is not convertible to a Remote Controlled craft.
The 8100TD Hovercraft was designed and constructed to be the pinnacle of all-terrain, amphibious vehicles. It is described as a logistical work horse and platform for the protection of lives and sovereignty. The 22 and a half meter long, 11m wide hovercraft boasts a payload capacity of up to 10000kg and is designed as the ‘big brother’ to the highly influential 8000TD Hovercraft. The vessel offers a high degree of diversity to allow for ballistic protection, mounted equipment or additional cargo to be loaded without losing the control which is achieved.
The craft features a twin engine design for rapid response in any environment, land or sea. She is used as an armoured vehicle transport in rapid response situations and has a whopping 1600 horsepower giving it a maximum speed of 50 Knots. While she can be manned by as few as 13 members she sports a passenger limit of 75 making her uniquely useful in military and commercial tasks.
