Premier Ship Models offers this ship kit of La Sirene, as a replica of famous French frigate launched in 1795 and commissioned to take part in the Expedition d’Irlande. La Sirene was also a part of a Franco-Spanish fleet when they intercepted a big convoy of merchant vessels and La Sirene escorted the convoy to Guadalopue. One of the most significant battles in her history was the Battle of Cape Finisterre in 1805.
In 1808, La Sirene encountered a British squadron when heading to Lorient but due to weak wind, one of the British ships cross-fired on La Sirene however she managed to rejoin another French ship in Lorient harbour. The history of La Sirene ends in 1825 when she was broken up.
