About the Cala Esmeralda

The Cala Esmeralda was a topsail schooner that was built in Majorca between 1916 and 1919. While constructed in Spain, the Esmeralda had an American look in terms of the figure and elegant line of sail. Considered to be one of the largest and appealing schooners in Majorca, it was used for coastal trade following the incorporation of engines into this type of Schooner.
