Marie Felling Model Boat Kit (Twin Screw)
The Marie Felling’s Model hull is fully detailed, as is the two part superstructure and funnel. All these parts are moulded in GRP. Deck and bridge are ply, with a printed ply overlay. Fittings are cast white metal. The superstructure is easily removable to allow easy access to the hull making this model ideal for steam propulsion.

Both single screw and twin screw versions are produced by Caldercraft and are accurate scale replicas of the Marie Felling, a harbour tugboat that was used in the Tanzanian port of Dares-Salaam. The British had recently colonised this area and therefore commissioned boats like this to help colonies grow by performing a variety of different types of harbour work.
Details of the model kit
This model ship kit of the Marie Felling is highly detailed and contains many parts, so we do recommend that you have previous experience of building model kits before attempting this build. The hull and superstructure are moulded in GRP. Most other fixtures, such as the deck and bridge are made with plywood. The fittings are finished in cast white metal. The superstructure can be removed to adapt the kit for steam propulsion or for use as an rc boat. Full instructions to build the model are included in English.
